Changing the isotopic ratios #47

Hey,

I wanted to know if there is way to change the isotopic ratios for the synth command. I went through the source file but I could not come across any command that can do this along with the abundance change.

Hi Nagaraj,

Thanks for the question. I am now on a move to my position, so I may not be able to get my hands on pymoog in some time. However, I can provide you an instruction: check the file from Chris Sneden (https://www.as.utexas.edu/~chris/codes/WRITEnov2019.pdf), and search for “isotopes” in the file. The isotopes can be varied, though pymoog haven’t provide such option. You can run the synth task in pymoog as usual, but stop after synth.prepare_file, then modify the batch.par manually or using some python code, and run synth.run_moog. You should get the isotopes varied.

Best,

Mingjie
