Yeah, annoyingly the google font we're using (Noto Open Sans) has a descending (hanging) J

My current hack fix is to use a similar looking homoglyph but this has some side effects (mainly that it isn't in the font so it doesn't appear consistent and looks weird) https://github.com/MingweiSamuel/muni-sign/blob/965f6f19b255ff0d7f7dbe980801c3453c220f6d/src/js/dataLayer.ts#L258-L260

better solution is needed I suppose

Also curious, are you intending to make some metro signs? Or just poking around
