Very Unreliable - Freezes PC #12

Very unreliable within 5 minutes of booting. Would use with caution ESPECIALLY on non Steam Deck devices. Booted in, Steam big picture mode setup screen started up, it was going so well....and then Windows auto installed my AMD graphics drivers and froze the entire PC. Couldn't get to task manager, nothing. It's never happened before on ANY custom Windows build I've used on the same hardware. Just this one. Had to forcefully hard reboot the PC. If this is going to be so unreliable, especially within the first 5 minutes, it's probably best to just use gamescope on Linux. At least then you won't be in the middle of something and it freezing up completely.

Have no idea what's causing this, but I don't believe it too be OS related as it doesn't seem wide spread. Any ideas what might be the cause?

I'm thinking it's a missing dependency from the cut down ISO. Or at the very least something with Windows' method of getting those drivers. Installing the drivers from the AMD website for my GPU worked though.

Another suggestion I have is to make a custom Radeon Overlay to be able to toggle VRR and RSR and other overlay options JUST by using a controller. No mouse and keyboard necessary.

OR option 2: Add 'power control panel' app (with 'Magpie FSR' app installed) or 'Handheld Companion' app by default which will let you also change TDP and toggle Magpie FSR using JUST a controller. Look into those solutions when you can.

Looking into it I believe the issue is unrelated too anything on WinDeckOS's side. It's a cut down ISO, but only by manually deleting bloat apps, it should be impossible for there too be any missing dependencies. I also don't want too add any extra apps some may find unnecessary.

Some may find unnecessary? Bro FSR and TDP control are one of the MAIN and most used features of gamescope. Why shouldn't Windows users be able to use FSR and TDP? It's like 2 extra apps! (power control panel and Magpie FSR) and they're both light. Please at least look into power control panel and Magpie FSR. Otherwise what's the point of having a deck like ISO when the most used features aren't present. May as well just run a standard Windows install using the custom steam launch CMDs then and have the same result as yours.
