Update. It seems there is something strange going on with USB-A port 1, the 2.0 white port.... A keyboard plugged in to this USB will not let me get to the BIOS. I have to use the USB-B 3.0 blue one. But i can boot to the USB-A 2.0 port with Ubuntu or Windows. Firmware bug or is there something wonky with my board??
Avoided the USB-A Port.. but it didn't help. I found some Windows IOT 10 Drivers.. for the Atom SOC series, but not compatible.. I cant see the mSATA or any SATA for that matter.. . tried the SATA port too. Linux still installs like a champ to the mSATA though.. it has to be a driver, I had 8.1 loaded before I tried to upgrade to Win 10. but I cannot find a driver that will work for 10 or even 8.1 anymore. Downgrade the FW?
I am trying to install Win10Pro on a Max with mSATA drive on a Silverjaw lure. I have updated the FW of the Minnowboard Max to Version 1.00, and updated the FW on the intel 530 mSATA. I have also tried loading the drivers for windows 10, and even tried the old windows 8.1 drivers. All are detected as compatable and load but Windows 10 installer (made from the Create tool to a SD card, and to a USB and to a USB DVD drive.. tried them all) still will not see the mSATA.
Ubuntu 18 LTS sees the mSATA and installs perfectly without error... so it is not a hardware issue.
What drivers are supposed to be loaded on a Window 10 Pro build?
I followed the instructions for installing Windows 10 Pro on a Max, but the guide is limited to: Install Windows 10 on a USB, boot to it and install Windows on the mSATA. Nothing about drivers, and it doesn't work. How can I install Windows 10 on the Max's mSATA drive?
