Please describe desired steps of proposed new feature/enhancement:
1. Ability to add a new item using a API, rest call or special URI

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
We just upgraded to 1.3, were are on CentOS 6.3

Please provide any additional information below.
We just want to know, would it be possible to add the ability to add a new item 
using a API, rest call or special URI? We do not want a get or update, just the 
ability to create a new entry externally. We are implementing cfEngine to 
manage our landscape and would like it to update passwords of new systems and 
add the password to teampass.
