Do you plan to update this cool tool for redmi watch 3 too? please...

Domenick90 commented 1 year ago

Use EasyFace - its cool gui editor.

vonfritz commented 1 year ago

Downside of EasyFace : Windows only, not opensource and a little bit buggy.

Domenick90 commented 1 year ago

But the functionality is much wider, I do not notice any glitches. The user does not care if the source code is open or not

This development seems to have been long abandoned by the author

Yeah, Thats why this project is dead!

Just bought this watch and was very disappointing to find the watchface format is not compatible with this tool. Hopefully there's a way to help you analyze and support it.

You can use EasyFace (for Windows) to build Watchfaces for Redmi Watch 3 (Redmi Watch 3 Active is not supported)

I can't seem to find the app you're mentioning (just found a youtube video without any references and a mobile app for another smartwatch manufacturer, other websearch results point to face-recognition tools heh).

(Redmi Watch 3 Active is not supported)

...although I'm actually referring to the Redmi Watch 3 Active, didn't know it had a different face format. I lack the knowledge to reverse-enginner watchface files, however I found that the "Multifunction" watchface present in the README is strikingly similar to the "Green LCD" one in Mi fitness store for this model, so it shouldn't be that hard to support it for someone with watchface format know-how.

If you have a redmi Watch 3 Active Then you are in a bad way, the format is completely different. https://github.com/m0tral/EasyFace As I said The Active is not suppoeted. @m0tral maybe can help you to decode the WatchFace file. Good Work. :)

m0tral commented 1 year ago

as Redmi Band 2, again totally different watchfaces, RW3a looks more understandable

Jorgen-VikingGod commented 6 days ago

there is an open source Python based alternative to EasyFace called Mi-Create: https://github.com/ooflet/Mi-Create
