Adding styles with chrome dev tools breaks page

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. load up the slides page
2. open up chrome-dev-tools
3. attempt to add a style to an element using the new style

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

add a style and have it applied in real time successfully without crashing web 
page.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

latest version of the script (copied it from today), using google chrome 
unstable on ubuntu linux 11,04, also tried in google chrome stable channel, 
same problem.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem. When I want to add a new style it crashes all the tabs 
that have that domain open.
