Inquiry: Step interpolation mode #58

Hello,

I wanted to know, would step interpolation theoretically help with the noise levels of the system? AFAIK it is what trinamic does to keep their steppers quiet even on low microsteps number.

I'll answer myself: AFAIK the stepper always operates at maximum 256 steps, the microstep setting is virtual only. If your controller cannot handle full 256 step, you can use lower step rates with no other disadvantages other than accuracy.
