SIM card not detected, but it also is? #30

Hi - I'm having issues with the SIM card. When my phone first boots with the card inserted, it correctly detects the carrier (vodafone UK). However, I can't turn mobile data off via Quick Settings, or make calls, send texts, or even USE mobile data. RCS chats show as unsupported, and taking out the SIM card tray still makes the phone show that it has a SIM card inserted.

With the SIM card inserted, I can't call *#*#4636#*#* because the phone thinks there isn't a SIM card inserted when there is. I try opening the SIM card utilities app but nothing happens and eventually android says com.android.phone is not responding. In Settings, it doesn't show the SIM card as inserted either and I can't install IMS app as it says Install IMS app for NOT SUPPORTED and then crashes if I tap on it.

What's causing this issue? (My phone is Redmi Note 10 5G, btw)

Extra Details

If I start the phone without the SIM tray inserted, then I insert the SIM tray with the card, everything works normally and I can make calls, use data and send texts. Everything is fine, up until I restart, and then I have to do the following:

  1. Take tray out
  2. Restart phone
  3. Put tray back in
  4. Everything works until next restart

Same on Poco F5 sim no detected and after reboot in original rom sim no detected but detected in re insert sim card

i second this...there is a sim issue.

Same thing happens on the Xiaomi 13T (I'm using the May slim build)
