I am not a lawyer and is in no way giving legal advice. However, this project seems like it's sharing copyrighted software from Nintendo. This fact could be a problem.

This video may be of interest for EU residents https://youtu.be/RGNarKVO-WI It appears that reverse engineering may be allowed for scientific purposes.

Trying to run 20-30 years old games on Linux seems scientific purpose for me.

I, neither am a lawyer, but you might be an idi~ Sorry about that, but please do some research before posting. The decompilation (not THIS repo, the decomp that this repo is based off) does not include data from the CHR chip, which holds the graphics, which is necessary to compile; and neither this project can be ran without the original ROM. Companies, including Nintendo is a-okay with that kinda stuff, as long as some effort is put into it.
