HTTP 500 Error when enabling latest version in WordPress 3.8.5 / 4.1 #515

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install / Upgrade ( from WP 3.8.5 ) to WP 4.1
2. Install / Upgrade to latest NextGEN Gallery plugin for WP.
3. Put this plugin with three images format with fixed sizes in First Bottom 
Widget Area.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is fully functional page with no HTTP 500 or other errors.

What WordPress / NextGEN Gallery version are you using? What browser are
you using?
NextGRN Gallery: 2.0.66.37
WordPress 3.8.5 / 4.1
Google Chrome / Firefox - latest available for Fedora 20 x64 from official 
repos.

Please provide any additional information below.
