Black screen on final fantasy 8 #1

I tried to grab this emu and play some ff8 (better than ff7 obv), and I get a black screen. I can't even find a way to configure my controller, the video plugin, or the audio plugin. What is goin on with this? Devs haven't made a commit in almost 4 days, is this project dead?

Sorry to hear that, so far only the instruction sets are being implemented. Also ff7 vs ff8 is a controversial topic I'm kind of offended you thought ff8 is better.

The project isn't dead, just on hold for a bit since I'm in PA rn.
