G3 : Request: Album Thumbnails

Feature request:
Can we get album thumbnails or possibly a way to navigate the album tree from 
the picture viewer?  My gallery is set up (read: labeled) in such a way that it 
is rather difficult to navigate without the thumbnails.  In addition to the 
added usefulness I think it would make the app a lot more fun to use.

Would it be workable to try to load only a few more than can fit on the screen 
at once and then predictively load the rest as the person scrolls?  7 or 8 
requests at once would be a lot but the speed would ultimately depend on how 
quickly the Gallery2 API responds to a request to load one thumbnail from one 
album.

I implemented album thumbnails for Gallery3 in the attached patch.

I couldn't figure out where Gallery2 sends the album cover URL back -- it 
appears that it doesn't.
