Can you provide your gallery url so that a developer can reproduce the
issue ? do we need to login ? in which album the problem occurred ?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upload an image with a caption with non US-ASCII-characters
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The image-caption is set to "Test ???" instead of IE. "Test ÆØÅ"

Please provide any additional information below.

I guess this is the reason (from a tcpdump of an upload):

Content-Disposition: form-data; name="g2_form[caption]"
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Test ???
