Issue details

The crash logs fails to resymbolicate the app methods, so its not very useful. Ive tried to do it manually, but no luck.

Happens with launchIOSDevice task, on Iphone 6s, 10.3.3

In some of our apps, we have integrated Crashlytics (including Symbol uploading of the IPA deployed to App Store) We see the method names of our Kotlin classes and of the Libgdx classes as well.

Are you using Crashlytics?

With Crashlytics, you need to upload the Symbols to Crashlytics. Example in Gradle:

Just local testing with log pulled directly from the device, nothing fancy.

I have never tried to read crash logs from device, cannot really help with that.

Maybe one thing I can help with, if you are using Gradle:

When resymbolicate logs on local device, are you using those dSYM paths? Maybe there where multiple, and you attached the wrong one?

I didn't use to get resymbolicated app methods on Crashlytics (at least when there was a Java exception it got camptured and reported if registering the exception handler). I've realised my last version does resymbolicate app methods. I can't tell what has changed to make this work (used same RoboVM plugin version 2.3.4-SNAPSHOT form 15 Feb) but what I can see is that the generated dSYM file for the version that resymbolicates is 3 times larger (22MB vs 64MB). Will let you know if I find more.
