Wrong dropbox directory path in the documentation #212

Hello

in the documentation here there is a reference to the ~/Dropbox/Apps/MobileOrg directory created by MobileOrg when syncing. Yet, the directory is ~/Dropbox/Applications/MobileOrg.

Cheers

Pascal

My directory resides in Apps. Was there some change in Dropbox? Is this change affecting all users or only new users?

pascalpoizat commented 6 years ago

Hello @mgmart I am a new user so I cannot say. I only observed that when syncing the application has created an Application directory instead of an Apps one. I agree this would have to be checked to see if other new users have observed the change. Pascal

I am a new user so I cannot say.

That's a good hint if you mean "new Dropbox user".

I will keep this ticket open and at some point in the future I will have to create some test users with Dropbox anyway.

If anyone else could verify the change in Dropbox, it would be appreciated very much.

Indeed I am an old Dropbox user. I meant new to mobile org.

As I started using MobileOrg on Dropbox I had already a directory named Apps with several subdirectories from other application. Maybe Dropbox creates nowadays a directory named Applications if there is no Apps directory present.

The Dropbox documentation seems to be very sparse on this. I could only find some references to an "app folder" without any further specification.

Another assumption would be that for some localisations the name of the folder changes.

I any case we should update the documentation once we've found the rules for app folder naming.

I just started using MobileOrg and the folder is Apps: Dropbox/Apps/MobileOrg
