This is a very nice tool! I had actually thought about creating something like this myself. What TTS engine does it use? I've found that various TTS engines/platforms like Alexa and Google Assistant often pronounce things differently.

Let me know if you end up using it and if you have feedback on how to make it more useful.

It uses your OS's TTS engine via the say NPM module: https://www.npmjs.com/package/say - you are right that various engines pronounce things differently, so maybe a future feature would be to try to use more than one.

Using any TTS engine to test is definitely better than not doing it at all, as it will catch numbers, awkward abbreviations and more.
