MobilityData has seen several organizations inquire about open source merge tools. There's also a need to update the link to Google's transitfeed merge tool in the GTFS Best Practices Dataset Publishing & General Practices section (issue referencing it here) since it's no longer actively maintained.
Adding a specific section for merge tools will make it easier to find this information, and to share a dynamic listing of options in the spec where it's needed. Please feel free to suggest others that should be included!
