A recent discussion on the MobilityData Slack indicated concerns over using Google's transitfeed project to merge GTFS files given the age of the project and time since last commit. We currently point to transitfeed in the docs as an option to merge GTFS.
A more recently maintained project is the onebusaway-gtfs-modules, so I've added that as an option as well in the docs in this PR.
Expected behavior:
List popular options for GTFS merge directly in the docs
