I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade with experience in the Automotive industry (both OEM and 1st Tier). Founded one of the first Portuguese fleet management systems (FMS) online with 3000 vehicles reporting tachograph, thermograph and CANbus data (The company was bought by a French group and was recently bought again by Viasat). Lot's of real-case study with traffic manager and transporter from EU under my belt ;)
We did the first commercial implementation of MongoDB in Portugal back in the days where NoSQL wasn't a thing yet.
I'm currently trying to digitize the bottled gas market by using an IoT connected scale and route optimization http://nesto.io
What I do
Beside general business acumen in the field (yes, I'll try to prevent you develop a solution that is looking for a problem!), I'm more of a PO guy, I also can help with mockup, graphic design & presentation skills (I'm VERY used to pitch, I must have done more than a hundred of them since I founded NESTO.IO!).
My ultimate goal is to be an actor in the future of mobility and transportation, using my creativity and experience to marry innovation, technology and business in this relatively conservative domain.
I'm a fan of maps & do practice Mountain Bike Orienteering but I also admire hat the guys at Mapbox Have a look at this simple & brilliant concept.
I love 3D printing and CAD modelling, but that's probably not gonna be very useful here... (together with the fact that I like to cook)
Let's talk
To leverage my past experience it would probably make more sense to work on the first challenge, but I'm more than happy to hear about your ideas.
Some of the challenges I had in mind:
Secure vehicle usage & tachograph data using the blockchain or DAG to guarantee real mileage of vehicle;
Manage FOTA of automotive components using the blockchain to keep a line-of-custody and ongoing revenue stream;
Distributed last-mile delivery ecosystem based on Dapps (turn every citizen in a potential instant FedEx delivery man);
Transborder instant & secure payment infrastructure for hauliers, workshops and emergency intervention crane (probably not using Blockchain directly);
"The devil is in the details"
