Actual accelerometer is End of Live and need to be replace. Mostly the replacement will be transparent for the user and all current functionality are conserve.

do an API which abstract the accelerometer type, and then completely remove each if(this acceleraometer) { to that} else { do that} everywhere in the code (except in this abstraction layer)
