So I was trying to play Stardew with mo2 and uh too be honest it confusing as hell and I figured that I shouldn't be using it for Stardew but I still wanted to try to see if I could get it working cause if I could it would be major but I couldn't get it working mainly because it was conflicting with every single other mod that had a json file which if you know anything about Stardew modding you would know that every mod has a json and most of the time they all have the same json name. And maybe it's me being an idiot or maybe it's the program. I don't know the json files are all in their own subfolders so I don't know why they're conflicting but I came the to possible conclusion maybe it would be easier to turn of priority and conflicting because most of the mods installed are not conflicting as stated by the mod makers or just personal experience. Or then again maybe I just set it up wrong I don't know

If MO2 shows you conflicts it's because two mods provide the exact same file at the exact same location.

If the .json files should be in different subfolders, then you mostly have not installed these mods properly.

mo2issue2 Mo2issue they're installed exactly how they're meant to be install in different subfolders. maybe mod organizer does it differently? I had an entire folder with all the mods and it worked just fine despite all the weird config issues that weren't present when I play the game normally through smapi

You're confusing the way MO2 works. Every mo2 mods as its own folder, that does not mean it ends up as as separate folder in the game mods folder, that's the whole point of MO2, virtual mapping of files. If you've ever mod Bethesda games, you know that MO2 mods are in their own folder but all ends up mixed up in the data folder of the game.

Just check how your file are mapped in the VFS using the virtual explorer and you'll see that they are not the way they should be. You need a folder for the mod inside the mod itself for it to work.
