It's possible this was an issue with the downloader rather than the install. Did it say the download was complete?
It certainly did say the download was complete, I also used the same download to install it later.
I did have a few downloads that wouldn't start, I do in every session but my normal way of dealing is to pause and restart.
The problem:
repeatable error happening - "get pending: invalid mod index 17" with MO2 beta6.
All I did was rename the mod in the mo2 gui from ".. 0.3" to ".. 0.4" then go to install the new version and I was getting the above error, with mo2 wiping the download list before crashing out, when reopened the download list was back (not sure if its important just noticed it happening).
This is a texture mod "HDTP - Decals" and around 1.4gb when installed and I was able to reproduce until I deleted the mod manually and installed it fresh, now no matter which mod I change the name of it will not reproduce.
To Reproduce:
Since removing it I'm now not able to reproduce but steps to are same as above - All I did was rename the mod in the mo2 gui from ".. 0.3" to ".. 0.4" then go to install the new version and I was getting the above error. After restarting MO2 the same would happen I don't think I did differently with this mod than any other, it was not installed manually and definitely used the download with manager both before update and after. It was around 10-15 seconds between changing the name and reinstalling but not instant. I am using a traditional HDD for downloads and a m.2 for installed mods and also have 7 drives installed for Windows to access (8 if you count the RAID volume but that is not in use for mo2.)
Environment:
MO2 beta 6 Fully updated Windows 10

USVFS:
I have included the link in section above but since this is not a usvfs issue (game was not ran at all) there is nothing in the log that will help
