Various small fixes for Mamba, unit tests & linting #153

This PR fixes a few issues introduced mainly (but not exclusively) by #113:

missing dependencies for Mamba (ce9d3fe)
failed unit tests due to outdated test config files (fe439ca)
global reformatting / linting, mainly of Mamba-related modules (e86fd86).

The last change was probably necessary as the pre-commits in pyproject.toml had been commented out in #113, see here.
