I'd like to think that this was already done, and it appears it may have been 'done' to some degree, but this is a script, and its output, that updates the aliases, names and ecs, so that all compounds and reactions that are linked will all have the same aliases etc.
This makes things a little more useful when deciding to disambiguate and split a reaction or compound based on its external sources, as all the external sources would be available for any linked reaction or compound.
