Grant Task 4b: Make more use of community agreed standards #9

Open jonc125 opened 7 years ago

jonc125 commented 7 years ago

Using community-agreed standards for annotating models, protocols and data will facilitate links to other resources, such as omics databases as models begin to investigate genetic causes for variability, enabling richer exploration of the sources of observed model behaviours. Ontology-based search and filtering of models, protocols and data in the Web Lab will keep the resource manageable as it grows.

We also talked to these guys: https://bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/EP and worth keeping links with that ontology in mind, although I'm not sure how widely used it is.

I'd also like to imagine MICEE extensions converging with WebLab Protocol definitions eventually and being advanced enough so that experimental data came ready to simulate...
