4 years ago @ssherwood thanks so much for this feedback, while we do have some courses that are high-level introduction to the bigger picture, our intent is for most courses to be very lab-centric, and to have lots of lab exercises for all topics as we expand content. Im really glad you pointed this out as I see now how its not apparent in this course that we intend to follow it on with lots of additional lab exercises, so I will make a point to highlight in any higher level intro's that we have follow-on courses with many demos and hands-on exercises as people progress through the topic. I know we dont have many courses yet, but we are actively working on several courses now that will have a number of additional lab exercises with the intent that most courses will be more technical and hands-on. Thanks again so much for your feedback, I will be sure to include more information about this in our introductory courses going forward.
I think it would have been useful to see some hands-on demos as part of the intro, it seemed a little too slide heavy / marketing focused. I'm worried that this might turn away prospective developers/learners if this is their first impression.
