Currently under discussion by the admin team on Discord, my opening message being:
I'd like to scale them based on player ratios, increasing the out-numbered side (a la DDCS). I'd also like to change them to make some aircraft cheaper than others, but that's a separate (future) discussion.
So, on that basis, before I start what do we think of:
Allocating "some" life points at spawn time (maxLives * 0.5 * hoursUntilRestart/missionDurationInHours ?)
Adding a life point every missionDuration/maxLives hours
Scale missionDuration/maxLives hours based on player ratio (bounding it at 1.0 lower, 5.0 upper?) so you'd get a life (with the current config) every 8 minutes if you were stacked agains
Reduce the base maxLives to 8
So if you were on the the bigger side you'd get 8 lives over 8 hours, and if you were on the outnumbered side you'd get up to 40 if you were outnumbered 5:1.
All open for discussion - the intent here is to provide some reward/help to join the smaller side and "one-man air-force" it.
