Feature Request: Option to keep mediaflyout open as miniplayer #263

Open Samuel12321 opened 3 years ago

Samuel12321 commented 3 years ago

Add Miniplayer mode toggle to settings to keep Media flyout visible while media app is open.

store Feedback:

It would be the perfect miniplayer, please add the option to always keep online

While this wasn't in the initial plan / scope of the app. It does seem like an easy addition to expand this apps use / scope.

Like a media controller app?

I would suggest MediaMixer (on Microsoft Store) by @michalleptuch.

It's won't be appropriate for us to do the mini media controller while a better alternative exists.

It's better for us to redirect users to try MediaMixer (10/10 would recommend).

If this request is something else, let me know.

Are they requesting to keep the flyout pinned to the screen?

If so, it would be a separate request.

Are they requesting to keep the flyout pinned to the screen?

I think so (while media source is open) for very basic media control.

ShankarBUS commented 3 years ago

Just like our current media controls but always open?

Samuel12321 commented 3 years ago

Basically a way to keep just the media flyout open indefinitely while an audio/ media source is playing.

ShankarBUS commented 3 years ago

Ok cool.

ShankarBUS commented 3 years ago

Since the code and UI has been decoupled, this could be done relatively easy.

Do they want like a PIP mode or something?

PixelFox3 commented 3 years ago

It would be great like a PIN option. So the audio (for example) popus is on top untill is closed or unpinned

BitGrub commented 2 years ago

I'm also unsure what this Issue is about. Are they requesting a PIP button, as I was going to request before searching existing issues? If not, please reply to me and I'll then open a separate issue/feature request
