We would like to have example code both in Shell script and in Python.

(Other languages are of course also welcome )

There should be an implementation that:

[x] Validates the site CA certificate
[x] Generates a key if such doesn't exist
[x] Generates a CSR if such doesn't exist
[x] Publishes the CSR to example service
[x] Fetches the signed certificate if such exists
[x] Signs in and does "Hello world" with client certificate

This is for ease of future development and verification. ( Much of this should be usable from the test-cases already. )
