Hi, I have been trying this quick image viewer you guys made. So far I like q-p-v and associate most image files with it on Windows. Would it be possible to add a frameless mode and a toggle to hide the toolbar in a future release?

Frameless mode? What do you mean?

bitsper2nd commented 4 years ago

I mean a no border toggle for quick-picture-viewer. As in a switch in the program to remove/hide/disable the window titlebar or decoration.

Hide bottom status bar + window titlebar + toolbar at the same time?

bitsper2nd commented 4 years ago

No, hide the toolbar and window titlebar separately. Here are some examples:

imageglass by pressing t shows/hides the toolbar ig_hide-toolbar In this case only the toolbar is hidden and the window titlebar remains.

imageglass by pressing F10 toggle frameless ig_frameless-mode In this case there is no window titlebar, but you can see the toolbar. note: You can also hide the toolbar by pressing the key shown in the first example.

mpv by pressing b no border mpv_no-border In this case, there is no window titlebar too, but unlike the second example, this one actually has no borders in the window.

Question. Maybe I've missed this in the settings or documentation, but I vastly prefer being able to use the scroll wheel to cycle between pictures in my viewer. Does Quick Picture Viewer have support for this?

There is no such function yet, but it will be introduced in the next release. Maybe in v2.2.0 or later.

Finally, I have implemented this. Now you can show/hide the status bar or toolbar via this right-click context menu:

Also, you can show/hide the window frame using Frameless mode:

Just wait for a new release to check out these features.

Good job. Thank you!

two follow up questions if I can

  1. Can we have option to keep f10 selected? meaning it will stay farmless moving forward even I close/restart the app, until I press f10 again to disable frameless.
  2. Also, for the navigation arrows, I just cannot turn it off. I tried F6 and right click viewer and click "show navigation arrows", neither of these ways work. I just cannot disable/hid navigation arrows. but I can easily uncheck "show toolbar" and "show status bar" with no problem. Any thoughts? image
