On a side note, will trashing the pointers and pings that I don't want affect choices for my players? And how do I regain items that are trashed? Is there a "revert to default" for a later date?
Thanks for the bug report, i'll take a look when i got some time.
Are there any console errors? Is it always the case, even in a new world?
if not is there a specific way to reproduce this?

Available pings and pointer are saved globally and are shared between all players.

Delete all available pings/pointer and it'll reset automatically.

No console errors. And it was with a new world that I saw this issue. I checked another game and it revealed the same.
If need be, I can record and share how it looks on my screen. Reproducing is very easy:
I can confirm I have this same issue. Also, sometimes my settings randomly overwrite each other. I opened the settings and told it to apply to everyone, then when I checked, my ping picture had been replaced by the picture of the pointer I was using.
That's a picture of the Ping Arrows ping. I didn't replace it or change it. That's the picture for the new preset I created dPointer Hand
For what it's worth, I'm having this problem as well. I'm using a dedicated Linux server, and I tested from Firefox 87 on Windows 10. Same Foundry VTT and PnP versions as above (0.7.9 and 2.3.1, respectively). Not sure if this is fixed in the newer version of PnP, as I'm not running alpha 0.8.1.
I need to finally find time to take a look at this. Last few months have been very full with stuff for me :disappointed:
I'll see if i can find some time and try to reproduce it or find some issue that could be at fault here.
Latest version on 0.8.6. This problem is still present.
And pings do not animate. Should I create another issue?
I choose my pointer and ping (doesn't matter which), close the panel, and re-open to discover multiple checkboxes chosen. The net result is that the pointer works (random depending on which checkbox gets the luck of the draw), but the ping doesn't.

Just to be sure, I tested with no other modules running. The result is the same, so the issue is not about module incompatibility.
What's going on? How to fix? Is it just me?
