Inaccurate reverse speeds for the Zetor tractors #403

based on my own documentation (back when I only had FS 15 and made the obsolete v1.5 compatible with gold edition), I noticed inaccuracies with the current Zetor gears.

The Major 80 has a dedicated range for reversing when, in fact, it should be able to use all ranges for both forward and reverse.

The Proxima and Forterra have 1:1 forward and reverse speeds but their reverse gear has a different ratio.

btw, I can't help but notice how each manual asks that the driver bring the tractor to a standstill when changing the reduction range.

Hello, that allways up to the the Type of gear box the tractor has got, if its a Synchromesh you can shift it like you want if you got helical cut gears you can only upshift it like you want an down you need to Rev match, and if you got Straight cut you can only shift it with rev matching.

Most modern driver dont know how to rev match, so the manuel just says stand still to shift that way you cant damage it at all.

I hope that helps you with your "question"

Those models all ultimately work the same.

There's a primary box used for normal shifting that is synchronized.

Then you have a secondary box with varying levels of crawling ranges without a synchronizer.

The only real exception is that the Proxima and Forterra have a gear splitter.

I just remembered.

the website I linked to also has the manual for the HS variant of the Zetor Major 80 (the one featured in FS 17 is the CL variant). IIRC, the in-game model doesn't display any emblems.

The HS variant adds a two-speed gear splitter and a 40 km/h top speed.

I'm just using this topic to avoid unnecessary duplicates.

Where did you find your stats for the Zetor Crystal 12045?

I noticed the mod's top gear speed is set to 25.05 km/h, which conflicts with my own documentation (mine claims 25.50 km/h)
