we would like to assign more than one mentor per student.

one mentor would be the lead mentor and the one responsible.

all other mentors would be qualified as backup mentors.

the administrator, when assigning a mentor to a project, can define if it
is a lead mentor or a backup mentor. ideally the lead mentor is a radio
box, automatically set to the first assigned mentor.

The Drupal project assigns two mentors per students for years now so definitely 
needed.
