Dashclock not appearing after installation #618

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Uninstalling dashclock through Google Play
2. Installing again = no sign of the app
3. Restarting device = still no sign of the app

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should be able to see Dashclock in my apps drawer and on a homescreen after
installation. However, I don't see anything, even though it is coming up as
installed on Google Play.

What version of the product are you using?
1.5

Which device and Android version are you experiencing this issue on?
Google Nexus 5, Android KitKat 4.4

Are you using a custom launcher or ROM? If so, which one? Note that custom
launchers and ROMs are not supported.
No

Please provide any additional information below.

Enable widgets in security and then try a long press on the homescreen and
finding it in widgets. How this helps.

I seem to having the same issues, i have enabled widgets under security
settings. i can customise the dashclock. With the dashclock settings widgets.
However i can not find the actually dashclock widget on both the lock screen
and the widgets when the phone is unlocked and on the home screen.
Thank You for any response

Same issue as OP.

First time install, but the installation seemed to be forever. I'm not sure
whether it finished or not, but I did not see dashclock in my apps drawer
either.

Nexus 5, KitKat 4.4.2

with custom rom and kernel though.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm on ART, which is probably the cause.

I have the same issue on Nexus 5, stock KitKat 4.4.2. Install takes a long time
and doesn't seem to complete successfully. I've already enabled widgets in
security.

Try uninstalling and rebooting your phone.

Had the same issue as OP.
Uninstalled DashClock and turned my phone off then back on and installed
DashClock again.
Had to do this a few times. The only time it worked was when the installation
didn't hang for awhile.
