What models do we really care about revisions and publication flow?

Pages with blocks and different block translations

Document with fields and different field translations

I feel like anything that could appear on the front-end of the site needs to have have a publishing flow. I guess this means adding menus to your list?

I suppose menus can have a revision system.

The problem is the more I try to understand how paper trail works the more I feel like rolling (stealing) a custom solution, which is a lot more easier to code, understand and customizable.

Comfy rolled its own solution and it is simple and beautiful.
