if the detail page is at the center of the conversation -- a starting point rather than an ending point to the discussion and back and forth that IS search itself... then it must be able to take us somewhere.

IF there are titles, can we link to places to read or access these titles? IF there are people and companies, can we link to WikiData, FOAF resources, biographical sources beyond Wikipedia, commentary and writing about them and by them? IF there are places, can we see them on a map? IF there are publications, newspapers and magazines, can we read them?

MANUAL LABOR? @JohnJung The issue here that needs exploring is how we could get the prep work done to make these things happen with the data in hand. If we can organize more than one "tagging frenzy" convening, we could decide where to place our focus, and tag materials with this set. If there are any elements in these ideas that could be automated, then it's closer to being done!

It could be an aspect of the project that we re-visit, like changing up the featured items, and displaying completed digital exhibits.
