Just a vague note to self to check on if this UI element would be useful in any way. Like the Netflix overlay of the video abstract description.

Maybe a name makes an overlay pop up for a brief bio note or a company name with a description. Or perhaps for tooltip or vocab overlays for unfamiliar research/archives jargon.

Maybe for a handy info on the repository popup: instead of QuickLook (e.g. for clothes shopping), it's the answer to the question, "How can I see this?" -- makes info appear on 1. which institution 2. best way to contact them, and who to contact 3. location and hours

I'm going to say after our conversation 3/8 that this kind of popup is not helpful for our purposes, and is entirely too prone to buggy issues and accessibility problems.
