Prefercite Tag = Citation

If all the data contains information in the tag in EAD, then a button or link could pop out that information as a citation in a separate small window. If not, then it's a matter of data cleanup.

Would NOT appear on the SERP due to page clutter, but instead appear only on a finding aid detail page, where that actually makes more sense. Can also appear in the finding aid page display if there's space on the page--possibly RH sidebar. Placement of elements TBD, with consideration of mobile display issues.

Trying to offer multiple formats is not going to get done in the first launch or phase 2 if ever. User demand would tell. Most sites place this as a button or text link in the upper RH corner of the finding aid. CCC puts this function in a "Tools" dropdown at the top LH corner of the finding aid.

A grep of the "prefercite" tag should show how the data stands in relation to this idea. If fairly complete, a popup could indicate how to cite using just the information provided in that tag.
