&:clear_line aka C-u shortcut has slightly different behaviour from Readline's one.
For example, when we use Zsh and press C-u this is what happens:
% I'm now free for consolation, and thankful to almighty Lord: at least, to one of his creations I've given freedom in this world!
% I'm now free for consolation, and thankful to almighty Lord: <C-u>at least, to one of his creations I've given freedom in this world!
% at least, to one of his creations I've given freedom in this world!
So we cleared everything behind the cursors position. This is what happens in Coolline:
% I'm now free for consolation, and thankful to almighty Lord: at least, to one of his creations I've given freedom in this world!
