Creating an ebuild for Gentoo's Portage tree. What is the development status of the project?

Good morning to all. I want to ask if the project is still under development because we are thinking of creating a package for gentoo. So if the project is pretty much unfinished or abandonded, there is no reason into porting it to portage.

Hi, at this moment we cannot keep the project going, but I am trying to obtain funding. I gave myself the deadline at June 2017, after which I will declare the project dead, and remove its (cyber)remains from the web (for what ispossible).
