[bug] ESC key triggers connection lost #60

Known Firefox bug reported in November 2010: ESC key stops image animations, XHRs, and any connections. In fact, ESC used to work as a keyboard shortcut for "stop page load" >_< https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=614304

Solution (until FF fixes the bug): catch the ESC event
