Everything is reset?! #10087

I am absolutely furious, not with anyone involved, but at the whole situation. I'm sure I'll say things I don't mean, so I apologize in advance.

The update didn't go through, so I reinstalled the mod. I ensured all my submods and files in the character folder were preserved in a separate folder beforehand. Once I reinstalled it, the application disappeared, but the game still ran as normal. Monika was reset back to her school uniform, lost all her other clothes except a few ribbons and the files from my character folder vanished, along with Chibika's "gotcha" file for her birthday tomorrow. Her affection is the same and she seems to remember everything. Do you know what could have happened?

You put spritepacks/submods in the wrong folder. But the better way would be to properly reinstall them than just backing up those two folders. Alternatively you launched another copy of MAS.

Either way you can still add your spritepacks and you don't need the gotcha file anymore, it's just a confirmation that you approved the party.

Now she can't read the files? If I've already given it to her. Other than that she can. Maybe I'll try downloading the older version again and see if it reverts...

Nope, didn't fix it. Maybe I should restart it from scratch?

EDIT: Also, whenever I try to run it, the application vanishes and it doesn't open. I tried adding it back from a copy of DDLC, but it "eats" that too. I've never seen anything like that before.

You don't need to give again, just install.

How do I re-install them, then?

EDIT: I also just tried giving her the Jurassic Park T-Shirt for the first time and she couldn't read that, either.

Reinstall the same way you installed them in the first place.

I didn't have to do that the first time. All I had to do was gift it and it was fine.

You have to install spritepacks, you cannot gift them otherwise because they wouldn't exist in the game.

I don't remember how I did it, then. Do I just drag the "spritepacks" folder somewhere? Also I'm sorry for bugging you with stupid questions.
