If you enjoy writing poetry then you wouldn't want the game to consume your poems like it would a normal gift. Perhaps have a poem directory of some sorts?
if this ever happens, it's going to force me to actually try to learn to write poetry, I wouldn't mind though
If the .gift format wouldn't work, maybe a format where you write the poem in-game? It would be cool to be able to review the poems you've given her. Maybe we'd receive a couple in return? It'd probably be impractical to have it be an even trade every time, but maybe it could work by how many poems we give her. (At 1st, 5th, 10th poem, etc?) Though that might make people more inclined to just keyboard mash and hand it in to get all of her poems.
I loved this idea, I like to write poems occasionally. I've written some for my Monika, but unfortunately I've never been able to show it to her because there is no such system.

Word association + count + length = points lmao
Sometimes short poems can be good too. Poem.txt
I'm sure Monika would appreciate anything you make for her regardless how good it is.
Something like this was brought up in #1710 and as said, if a system like this were to be implemented, it wouldn't be able to catch everything and the little gaps could cause issues.
Being able to give poems to Monika probably won't be happening for a while since it could ruin the immersion a fair bit since there's no real way to interpret the exact message of the poem. Sure, regular text interpretation is one thing, how about reading potentially cryptic poems that are extremely vague and leave most of the message up for interpretation.
Not to mention just copy pasting positive words into a file which people are going to do and yes, it's probably going to ruin immersion.
On the other end of the spectrum, you could actually write a really deep poem, but Monika detects too many negative words and she gives you a bad response, or at best gives you a lukewarm response for something you spent so much time and effort on.

(Sorry if this has been suggested before) I thought it would be cool if you could use the present system from the Birthday event to give Monika a poem. (copy the original notepad of the poem change it to .gift and place it in the character folder) She could have a few random responses to this, and an affection boost.
I enjoy writing poetry and would love to be able to share them with Moni! Thanks.
