[Clothes] Gray, kinda gothic dress

Since bunch of people seem to like it on reddit, and I was suggested to make an issue with that here I am. I hope you will like it Here are files for that dress. In folder Gray Dress

The concept of this dress looks really good! Really like the idea.

However, I have some pointers for you that you might find useful, regarding one major important thing: The linework - as you can see on the ribbon above it is neatly wrapping up the colored layers. Try to recreate a similar linework border around the edges of your own dress, while also clearing the residual leftovers beyond the actual lines hugging the main color layer once you set them in their place. That way you will be able to match the style of your works more closely to the ones currently implemented as main sprites or spritepacks. Without it, the entire dress looks very rough and stands out from the rest of the sprites too much.

Hey hey! I’d give the same criticism, I made similar stuff about a year ago: But after some much needed criticism, I got it to look like this!

The points I was given:

• This is not an art-style that uses the paint method, it uses lines with coloring underneath. The lines (in my experience) should be 1 pixel thick.
• One side should be just barreeely lighter than the other, and one barely darker as the light shines down from the left.
• Soft-Shading (cel-shading is also good, like in edge highlights!) is a very important factor in the art-style, and sometimes it takes some playing around with!
