No colours for Markdown inline code

E.g., inline code using backticks. I find it hard to write technical documentation without such inline code markup being highlighted in some distinguishing way.

I think you need to find an extension for this. Color themes depend on code syntax definitions, and maybe the default markdown language doesn't have the most complete definitions.
