Nice! Thanks for sharing. Note taking is a surpassingly hard workflow to get right.

Have you tried roamresearch or notion (free)? Both are web-based and have all the requirements you are looking for. There is also an open-sourced alternative of roamresearch called obsidian.

Thanks for the suggestions - roam and obsidian look very interesting, I'll take a look!

So far I've been very happy with inkdrop - my note taking is primarily linear, work log / journal style, which works well in inkdrop. I've also continued to extend and write my own plugins, being able to extend the app is very useful.
