For various reasons, it is becoming increasingly important that MCprep can extract resources (textures, models, etc) from local Minecraft installs, potentially with MCprep itself not packaging a default resource pack on download.
Required changes
We migrate and generalize the pre-existing script used to update mcdata (currently: mcprep_data_refresh.py) to run on end-user machines
Create hooks to know when to auto perform this function
Ideally, we pair this with some options to also detect and configure which resource packs the user already has installed. This would pair nicely with the feature to stack resource packs: https://github.com/Moo-Ack-Productions/MCprep/issues/123
