Set volume to phone setting #45

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

It would be nice to have the alarm volume to be set by the phone ring volume.
If you go into a place that you have to turn the phone on vibrate, the alarme
should then also be on vibrate, without have to go to a separate menu screen.

not a defect just wishing for this enhancement.

I would argue the opposite. I often go to bed accidentally leaving my phone on
silent or vibrate. I still want the alarm to wake me up in the morning, though.

I understand that, but if possible could you make it an option to use the phone
ring volume or use the alarm volume like you have now.

I agree with Hagerma though I would settle for a Silent button. I have daily
alarms set and my phone often goes off when i'm photographing a wedding.

Agreed with #2. In my case I keep the phone in noisy mode as a rule, but turn
it to silent just when I need it not to make a noise (e.g. when in church or at
a musical performance), and reverse the procedure afterwards. I've not come
across an app before that disobeys this setting (which I see as a kind of
brute-force override). When I silence my phone, I accept that all kinds of
important alerts may get suppressed, and I know to go back and check what I
might have missed. I honestly think that this should be default behaviour,
although I'm not going to quarrel with the creator of this valuable app if he
thinks it should be overridable!

I'd support comment #1, however if people insist just make it an option. Always
good to give people the choice :)
