strange  symbols in stories

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening any story

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: The Story like it is on sofurry.com.
Instead: The Story with  symbols at new lines and sometimes even between 
sentences without new lines.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The current SoFurry App on Android 2.1.
